The Indica et Tibetica Verlag was founded in 1982.
It focuses on philological and textual studies in the fields of Indian and Tibetan literatures. Its seat changed from Bonn to Swisttal-Odendorf (near Bonn) and now to Marburg. Apart from its main series of monographs Indica et Tibetica (IeT) it also publishes selected contributions to religious studies in its sub-series Arbeitsmaterialien zur Religionsgeschichte (ARG) and study materials in its sub-series Arbeitsmaterialien.
